Hong Kong · Advisory & Delivery

Advisory that goes beyond the deck.

Beyond Finance Co., Limited is a Hong Kong advisory firm working where two things meet: knowing a market well enough to advise on it, and being able to build the thing. We give investors and corporates specific ground-truth on China's internet and fintech sectors — and we ship the software that turns those decisions into working systems.

About us

Two things that rarely sit in the same firm.

Beyond Finance Co., Limited (Chinese name 財超管理咨詢有限公司) is incorporated in Hong Kong under the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 622) and holds a valid Business Registration Certificate issued by the Inland Revenue Department.

We work with three kinds of client. Investment firms and corporate strategy teams that need current, specific ground-truth on China's technology sectors rather than a recycled market report. Hong Kong and cross-border SMEs that need to modernise how they actually run — systems, workflow, automation — without a six-figure IT programme. And early-stage ventures that need senior help at the point where a company is still being built rather than optimised.

The two halves of the practice reinforce each other. Sector work keeps our read on China's internet, fintech and on-demand platform markets current and concrete. Delivery work — building real systems with AI coding tools — keeps the advice grounded in what can actually be shipped, on what budget, in what timeframe.

We are deliberately small and senior. Engagements are scoped tightly, priced up front, and delivered by the same people who scoped them.

Services

Four practices. One accountable firm.

Each practice can be bought on its own. In most engagements they combine — a market question leads to a build, or a funding application leads to the system it pays for.

PRACTICE 01

Expert Consulting & Market Insight

For private equity, venture capital and hedge funds, and for corporate strategy teams, that need specific and current ground-truth on China's technology sectors — not a report that was already stale when it was published.

Delivered as Expert calls · Diligence support · Written market briefs · Board and independent-director engagements · Paid briefings and conference speaking · Subscription intelligence on China fintech and trading technology for international investors
  • China internet venture financing, end to end — how VC and PE actually behave in this market, valuation negotiation, equity and cap-table structure design.
  • Fintech and securities trading software — a narrow segment where expertise is genuinely hard to source, and correspondingly high-value in diligence.
  • STAR Market and ChiNext listings — the process, the compliance logic, and where filings realistically get stuck.
  • On-demand delivery and local services — unit economics, courier and fleet operations, city-level expansion, and the cost structure behind intra-city logistics platforms.
  • A cross-functional read — product, technology and operations assessed together, rather than the single-function view a specialist expert can give you.
PRACTICE 02

AI-Enabled Digital Transformation

For Hong Kong and cross-border SMEs. We build with AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Codex, which compresses delivery from weeks to days and brings genuinely custom software inside a small-business budget.

Typical clients Trading and import/export firms · Logistics operators · Property and asset managers · Law firms, accountancies and insurance brokers · In-house engineering teams at banks and insurers
  • Digital transformation packages — corporate website, WeChat Mini Program, and the internal systems a business actually runs on: inventory, CRM, reporting.
  • Legacy migration and refactoring — VBA to Python, on-premise to cloud. For firms still held together by spreadsheet macros and systems nobody wants to touch.
  • Internal automation — workflow automation and WhatsApp Business auto-response bots, one of the highest-demand scenarios among Hong Kong SMEs.
  • AI support and knowledge bots — RAG knowledge bases and service agents for professional-services firms whose value sits in documents nobody can search.
  • Productised modules — invoice OCR, KYC and compliance monitoring, due-diligence document analysis. Built once, licensed for reuse across finance, property and insurance clients.
  • AI coding enablement — Claude Code and Codex adoption programmes and best-practice training for in-house engineering teams.
PRACTICE 03

Hong Kong Funding & Grant Advisory

Hong Kong runs several funding schemes that SMEs are entitled to and routinely fail to use — usually because the application and the delivery sit with two different parties who blame each other. We handle both sides.

Why it works A single point of accountability. The same firm writes the application and delivers the funded work, so scope, budget and deliverables are drafted to match what the scheme will actually approve — and what can actually be built.
  • Technology Voucher Programme (TVP) 科技券計劃 — eligibility assessment, project scoping, application drafting, and delivery of the funded technology project.
  • Distance Business Programme (D-Biz) 遙距營商計劃 — remote-operation and digital-commerce solutions, scoped and built to the scheme's categories.
  • SME Export Marketing Fund (EMF) 中小企業市場推廣基金 — export marketing activity, reimbursement documentation, and the digital assets the activity depends on.
  • End-to-end handling — eligibility check, documentation, submission, follow-up with the assessing body, project execution, and the reporting the scheme requires on completion.
PRACTICE 04

Cross-border Sourcing & Supply Chain Advisory

For buyers and trading houses procuring food, non-food and industrial goods out of China and the Far East, where the hard part is rarely finding a factory — it is holding a supplier to a written specification from another jurisdiction.

Governance Every mandate runs a monthly review: performance against targets, spending forecast, and supplier and cost strategy — minuted, with actions, owners and deadlines shared by both parties.
  • Supplier identification and onboarding — screening, shortlisting and bringing manufacturers up to the buyer's standard, with local-language commercial negotiation throughout.
  • Contract and PO administration — supply agreements papered on the client's own templates and approved by the client's legal function, with purchase orders progressed against them.
  • Quality, testing and inspection — coordination of accredited third-party laboratory testing and pre-shipment inspection, before any goods are released.
  • Compliance documentation — product and manufacturer conformance files assembled and checked to institutional standards, and non-conformities driven to resolution.
How to engage

Buy an hour, or buy a working system.

Five ways to work with us. Scope and price are agreed before anything starts, and we will tell you when a smaller engagement would answer your question just as well.

01

Expert call

Sixty minutes on a single question, booked directly or through an expert network.

02

Written brief

A fixed-scope market or diligence memo, typically five to ten working days.

03

Build sprint

A working MVP, internal tool or system migration, typically two to four weeks.

04

Retainer

A standing monthly allocation of advisory and delivery capacity, for clients who need continuity.

05

Grant-linked

Scoped and priced to fit an approved Hong Kong funding-scheme budget, application included.

Focus

Where we are useful — and where we are not.

We take a narrow set of sectors seriously rather than claiming coverage of everything. If a question sits outside these, we will say so.

Sectors

China internet & mobile platforms Fintech & securities trading software On-demand delivery & local services Cross-border trade & logistics Professional services Property & asset management

Capabilities

Corporate strategy & 0-to-1 execution Fundraising & investor relations Product management Technology architecture Growth & go-to-market Big data & recommendation systems Applied AI & LLM engineering Cross-border China–Hong Kong operations
Why Beyond

Four reasons clients come back.

Insight and execution in one place

The firm that tells you what to do can also build it. No handover, no second vendor discovering the recommendation was never buildable.

Days, not weeks

AI coding tools genuinely change the economics of custom software. We pass that through as shorter timelines and smaller invoices, not as bigger margins.

Cross-border by default

Hong Kong incorporated, working across Hong Kong and the Mainland, in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. Not a translation layer bolted onto a domestic firm.

Scoped and delivered by the same people

Small and senior by design. Nobody sells you a partner and then staffs the work with someone else.

Contact

Tell us the question, not the job spec.

A short description of what you are trying to decide or build, and the timing, is enough to start. We reply to every serious enquiry within two working days.
